Skate, bike and roll for breast cancer at the 18th Annual Skate The Lake July 23-24! Shred the scenic shores of North Lake Tahoe for 28 or 9 miles from Sugar Pine Point Park to Commons Beach in this skate-bike-rollathon welcome to anyone on wheels! Be part of the village raising funds and awareness at this year's community event hosted by Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC).
Pre-Skate Celebration & Registration
Skate The Lake kicks off with a community celebration on Saturday, July 23 at Commons Beach! Celebrate from 1-7pm with live music, delicious bbq, frosty drinks and a silent auction. Pick up your goodie bag, event tee and raffle tickets with each registration. Then get ready to roll on Sunday, July 24 for the main event! This skate-bike-rollathon is open to all ages, so register individually or as a team.
Fundraising
All skaters are required to raise a minimum of $50 to help towards B4BC's collective fundraising goal of $50K! Skaters will earn an extra 10 raffle tickets for every $100 raised, and the top three fundraisers will take home prizes. For those unable to make the event, they can register virtually and cruise their local path or trail, and there's even a photo contest that virtual skaters can participate in!
Be Healthy & Get Active!
B4BC is all about health and wellness, and it's been sharing the love since 1996. The foundation encourages regular self-exams, healthy eating, and stress fighting practices like yoga, meditation, walking and your favorite sport. Whether it's summer or winter, every season is a good time to be kind to your body and kind to mother nature's. Don your pink and get ready to roll this July 23-24!
