2024 Truckee Tahoe Air Show & Family Festival Returns June 22!

Truckee's world-class air show and family festival returns June 22 from 9AM to 4PM at the Truckee Tahoe Airport! See world renowned performers swirling and twirling in the air against the backdrop of the beautiful Sierra mountains for FREE! This family friendly event takes over the tarmac with a family festival, aircraft display, STEM expo and VIP tent!

FAMILY FESTIVAL, STEM EXPO, and MORE!

Let the kids go crazy at the family festival with carnival games, stilt walkers, puppet shows, arts and crafts and a bounce house! The air show is free, but you can pay for extras like face painting, military aircraft rides and food. Bring your picnic blanket and sit back while listening to bluegrass music for an unforgettable family day on the green.

Step out of the sun and into the shade at the Truckee Grocery Outlet STEM expo! The kids will go crazy for choice with hands on science, math, technology and engineering activities. Kids and adults get to see warbirds and modern aircraft up close at the Static Aircraft Display! This a rare opportunity for guests to check out military jets and aircraft up close, with the pilot docents sharing their aircraft. On display in 2024 are FA-18E/Super Hornet from Navy Region Southwest, F-5, Marine MV-22 Osprey, L-19 Birddog, and Navy Skyhawk. Kids ages 8-17 can even fly for free on Sunday with a volunteer pilot!

THE FAMILY FESTIVAL has an array of activities the whole family is sure to love! Here's the 2024 schedule:

• 11AM: Nevada Blue Grass Association Live Music
• 11:30AM: Puppet Show by Sacramento Puppet Theater
• 12PM: Nevada Blue Grass Association Live Music
• 12:30PM: Puppet Show by Sacramento Puppet Theater
• 11AM to 3PM: Stilt Walkers, Carnival Games
• All Day: Arts and Crafts Creation Station for Kids such as Face Painting and Bounce House fun!

VIP TENT

Reserve a first-class seat on the flight line with a VIP ticket! Mingle with performers and indulge in a catered lunch including wine and beer from your very own shaded seat in the VIP hospitality tent. Adult VIP tickets cost $125 and children 12 and under cost $50. No VIP tickets will be sold on the day of the event so make sure to reserve yours early!
