Downtown Truckee Holiday Festival and Tree Lighting
Posted by: Palisades Tahoe Lodge
Friday, November 19 kicks off six weeks of holiday cheer and light in the Truckee-Tahoe basin with the Annual Bud Fish Tree Lighting Ceremony! The tree lighting ceremony is a 35-year tradition, in honor of a beloved Truckee community member.
The event runs from 4:15PM to 6PM on Friday, November 19 and the Bud Fish Tree Lighting will occur at 5:15PM in the center of Downtown Truckee (right by the train station). Bundle up your little ones and bring the whole family down to celebrate with lots of festive cheer. Small trees will be on display, decorated by more than 600 local elementary students, in addition to the holiday lights on display on Historic Commercial Row.
Grab a bite to eat afterward in Downtown Truckee or do some shopping on Historic Commercial Row for your loved ones! If you prefer to keep your distance but would love to participate, you can watch the LIVESTREAM HERE or on Suddenlink Channel 18, courtesy of Tahoe Truckee Media!
This is a social distance event and masks are required.
