Fall Fun For All Ages: Tahoe City Oktoberfest
Posted by: Palisades Tahoe Lodge
Let's talk about autumn. The leaves are changing colors. Whistler Blackcomb and Mammoth Mountain have already seen snow and it's still technically summer! El Nino is on its way for (hopefully) the biggest winter the West Coast has seen in four years.
Before the snow descends, and the bears hibernate for months, don't forget to enjoy fall in all of its glorious red-orange-yellow beauty! Add in a classic button-down plaid, your favorite pair of boots, maybe a pumpkin spiced coffee or ale, and you're set. And naturally, what goes perfectly with fall? Oktoberfest in Tahoe City!
This year the Tahoe City Downtown Association returns with a bigger and better Oktoberfest event on October 3, 2015, from 12PM to 6PM at Layton Park Gatekeeper Museum. Entrance is FREE, and your purchase of a $10 beer stein includes your first beer! Live music by The Space Heaters & TBA will keep you rocking all afternoon long, and of course there will be food on-site for purchase.
There's also fun for all ages with pumpkin painting, face painting, a traditional Bavarian costume contest, and more!
