Food and Fun at the Tahoe City Wine Walk
Posted by: Palisades Tahoe Lodge
On Saturday June 20, 2015, the businesses along the shores of Lake Tahoe throw open their doors to host one of the area's biggest outdoor festivals in charming Tahoe City. Stroll through downtown Tahoe City as you sample varietals from local wineries, grab a tasty bite, and soak in stunning views of the lake. Live bands will take the stage to provide entertainment, and families are welcome to bring the kids. This al fresco event runs from noon to 4 pm and takes place rain or shine.
North Lake Tahoe's best restaurants and catering companies will be serving gourmet food, from lip-smacking BBQ to delicious Mexican fare, to pair with your favorite wine. And did someone say wine? You will be able to taste a wide range of varietals, as over 30 local wineries will be on hand to pour their best bottles. From Pinot Noir and Zinfandel to Syrah and Chardonnay, you can choose from dozens of wines to sample. Make sure to stop by the Uncorked Wine Bar at the end of the day to pick up any bottles that you enjoyed.
Now in its tenth anniversary, the Tahoe City Wine Walk has been a fun way to kick off summer at North Lake Tahoe region. Tickets are $50 the day of the events (cash only), but you can save $10 if you order your tickets online. And don't worry if you're the designated driver, because you can get a special ticket that includes only food (no wine) for only $20. Kids under 6 are free.
