Tahoe's Second Snowiest Winter on Record

Spring's just around the corner but there's no end in sight for powder at Lake Tahoe with the recent snow storms the Truckee-Tahoe region has experienced! It's so historic, that Tahoe has captured national headlines with over 600 inches of snow this season, the second snowiest winter on record since 1952 (812 inches of snow that year!).

What a difference a year makes with Mother Nature's historic snow fall this winter season. Let's talk powder numbers. In February alone, there has been over 11 FEET of snow at Palisades Tahoe, and this first week of March has dumped another 12 FEET of snow. When we say historic, we mean historic. We have enjoyed (and shoveled!) over 50 FEET of snow this 2022/2023 ski season, and there's no signs of it stopping.
