Things to Do at Palisades Tahoe High Camp

There's still time this summer to take a scenic Aerial Tram ride to mountaintop adventure at High Camp! See a bird's-eye-view of Lake Tahoe and stunning mountain vistas on the 10-minute ride leading to FREE activities including mountaintop roller skating, geocaching, slack lines, lawn games, playground, and scenic hikes!

For summer 2022 kids ages 12 and under get to ride the Aerial Tram FREE with the purchase of an adult ticket! Tickets must be purchased online at least two days in advance to qualify. Book your tram tickets HERE. 

Scenic Hikes

High Camp delivers stunning views on scenic hikes and walking trails through wildflower meadows and mountain vistas! Take a guided North Face hike on a 1.5 mile trail around High Camp! Stroll the High Camp Loop or visit the historic Watson Monument at Emigrant Peak for 360 degree views of Lake Tahoe. Set your sites on a half day hike to Shirley Canyon from High Camp passing by waterfalls, boulders and through a mountain canyon! Family Fun Activities – FREE Roller Skating, Disc Golf, Geocaching & More!

Spend the afternoon roller skating in the sun surrounded by panoramic views of Olympic Valley, Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevadas at High Camp Roller Rink! Get competitive playing disc golf at the 9-hole disc golf course! Bring your own discs or purchase a set at High Camp Marketplace. Team up and go geocaching searching for 6 caches hidden among mountain peaks! Allow at least 3 hours to discover all the boxes using GPS coordinates.

Food tastes better with a view! Grab delicious takeaway sandwiches and healthy snacks at High Camp Marketplace, open daily from 10:30am to 4:30pm. Refuel with a coffee, fresh pastry or signature energy cookie! There's even beer, wine and kombucha on offer. Visiting on the weekend? Check out the High Camp Barbecue open Friday to Sunday from 11am to 3pm.
