Summit Sierra Peaks and swim in Sierra alpine lakes between June 22 and September 7 to win amazing backcountry gear! Raise donations and take epic pictures while bagging the most peaks and lakes in the Sierra Summer Challenge!
The Sierra Nevada Alliance hosts the Sierra Summer Challenge to raise awareness and funds to preserve and restore the beautiful Sierras. The Alliance empowers, partners and mobilizes the local community to conserve Lake Tahoe's natural resources. The Alliance also hosts events and webinars spreading awareness about habitat loss, supporting healthy forest ecosystems and protecting and restoring Sierra rivers.
Sierra Summit Challenge and Alpine Lake Challenge
Compete for the prize in 3 areas:
1. Summit the most Sierra peaks or swim in the most Sierra alpine lakes between June 22 and September 7.
2. Raise the most donations.
3. Take the best photo of their adventures.

It's easy. Register and set up your GoFundMe donation page with a target goal of raising at least $250 for your summit or lake challenge. Share your donation page on social media and invite friends and family to sponsor you.
Take pictures of EACH Alpine lake swim or at the top of EACH Sierra peak summited and share them on Facebook and/or Instagram tagging the Alliance using #SierraSummerChallenge and #SierraNevadaAlliance. Include the name of the peak or lake in your post. Keep in mind you can get to the peaks any way you want – car, hike, bike, etc.!
Winners will be announced by September 10, so take action and get competing in the Sierra Summer Challenge!
