Blaze down the slopes in the World's Largest New Year's Eve Torchlight Parade at Squaw Valley on December 31, 2019. Skiers and Snowboarders take to the mountain with colorful LED torches making it look like a moving chain of fire! It's an annual New Year's Eve party at Squaw and the largest torchlight parade in the world!
The event is FREE and super family friendly! Ages 5 and up can participate and need to be an intermediate skier or snowboarder. LED torches will be given out at the Exhibition chairlift but only to guests with wristbands for their registered timeslot, so jump online now and reserve your place in advance. Then head to the Squaw Valley Ticket Office to collect your wristband before the event. The Parade begins at 5pm with 15 minute timeslots taking off until 6:30pm.
The New Year's Eve festivities heat up after the parade with a fireworks show and rock concert at 7pm. Grab a drink at Bar One & Plaza Bar while listening to live music. There's even an East Coast style ball drop taking you into the New Year and a kid friendly balloon drop!
Sandwich your evening of fun with a New Year's Eve Family Celebration before and after the parade. The Village at Squaw Valley will be hosting kids games and a glowstick carnival from 2-4:30pm as part of Merry Days and Holly Nights. Stay for dinner and grab a lamb gyro from Zeus, a gourmet pizza from Fireside or be the first to check out a signature Mexican dish at Tremigo. The kids won't stop until they indulge their sweet tooth at Euro Sweets with their signature candies, chocolates and gelato, and they'll definitely want to take some home!
