Dress up in your best Halloween costume for Tahoe City's Halloween Hunt! This spooktacular scavenger hunt takes over Tahoe City with digital activity challenges and prizes! Join other ghouls and goblins as they start hunting from noon October 30 to midnight on October 31! That's 36 hours of Halloween fun!
This safe, fun and socially distant challenge is brought to you by Tahoe City Parks and Recreation (TCPUD) and Tahoe City Downtown Association (TCDA). Much like the Tahoe City Explorathon, it's family-friendly and playing is easy!
Have a blast choosing from over 20 Halloween challenges to earn prizes! Hunt the streets for Scarecrows on Parade and snap selfies with a skeleton, scarecrow or any Halloween decoration. Find a fellow hunter wearing the same costume and take a picture (at a safe, social distance of course). Teams earn BONUS points when they complete challenges in their Halloween costumes and that includes your pet dressing up! If you haven't already picked out your costume, now is the time to do it!
The 1st place team wins the grand prize, a Winter Sports Park Season Fun Pass – up to $185 value! That's epic fun for the upcoming winter season including sledding, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and ice skating! 2nd place takes home a $50 TCPUD Recreation Gift Certificate and 3rd place earns a $25 TCPUD Recreation Gift Certificate. The famous Scarecrows on Parade have been lining the Tahoe City streets since the beginning of October! Local merchants, students and the community make these funny, scary and clever scarecrows and display them all over the Tahoe City streets and right in front of shops! These festive and creative Halloween scarecrows are even more reason to sign-up for the Tahoe City Halloween Hunt!
