Considered by many to be among the nation's best July 4th holiday destinations, nothing compares to the magic of watching fireworks shimmer off America's largest alpine lake in the cool mountain evening air. Each year, over 100,000 people from around the world line our shores for the Fourth of July at Lake Tahoe, with festivals and parties circling the water as far as the eye can see. Considering this is a busy season for Tahoe, we kindly ask travelers to travel responsibly (respect the environment and be ‘bear aware' are two key things to keep in mind).
